Introduction
An island made for cycling
Hiiumaa is ideal for cycling. It is large enough to offer plenty to discover, yet small enough for everything to feel within reach. The nearest cycle path starts 1.5 km away in Paluküla and leads to Kärdla. From there you can carry on to Tahkuna, where you will find old military structures and open views of the landscape. The island has cycle routes through the forest, along the shore and on the road, where you will find quiet, lighthouses and views of the sea.
The Paluküla health trail has a 300 m mountain bike park, which also suits beginners who want to build their cycling skills. In the same place there is a skills park with almost 600 metres of varied sections and plenty of challenges. Together with the island's distinctive plant life, they make for a very special adventure in nature.
Hundi Puhkemaja is near Kärdla Airport, just a short walk away.

- 1 child's bicycle (24 inches, suitable for ages 8–11)
- Helmets are also available for children
